Courage

People always needs courage in hard times, in troubles, in helping others, in making their dreams come true and other times. Courage played an important part in our life. Without courage, we became powerless and weak in overcoming troubles from outside and inside. This writing will help people understand about what I think about courage.

Everyone have opinion about courage. The dictionary says that courage is the strength of our heart. Heroes think courage is a thing that pushes them to save others and heroism. Most of the people think that courage is bravery. But, in the point of view of mine, courage is a strong force that has compassion, hope and determination that needs braveness of a human. Even in small or big things, courage even needs sacrifice.

First, I describe courage this way because I read in the bible that Jesus Christ died for the people that sinned, even for the people in the future that aren’t born yet. God have compassion for us, for the entire human race, also for the people who didn’t believe in Christ yet. If Christ hadn’t died for us, we wouldn’t be saved though we believe in Him and we will be condemned for our sins. Second, I saw that the missionaries have courage to tell Jesus to the non-believers of Christ. They have bravery to spread the good news. They have care and concern for the non-believers.

Once, I had experienced saving a drowned person, that is my cousin, Jav. It was a sunny day. We (me, my sister, my brother and my cousins) decided to go to swimming pool. As we arrived there, we quickly jumped into the pool after we changed our clothes. We played water and swam for hours. Then when I played with my other cousins at the kid’s pool, I heard shouting behind me.

“Help! Help!” It was Jav. He played too near to the deep part of the swimming pool. I didn’t hear his shouting very clear, I thought it was some people playing.

“Kakak! Look at Jav!” said my sister in front of me, pointing at drowning Jav. I quickly jumped from the borders that divided the kids and the adult’s pool. I swam and dived. I pull him out of the pool. I saved him.

I wonder why the lifeguards didn’t save Jav. I saw they were just relaxing and chatting with each other. Maybe they thought my cousin is just playing.

If I didn’t have courage for helping my cousin, maybe he will drown, maybe saved by somebody else or even go into hospital. Like I said, courage is an important thing. With courage, we can save somebody,

 and with courage, we can overcome trouble.
